Walikale 2

This body map was created in Walikale by ten individuals, including former underage combatants and service providers. Staff from GRAADE, HHI and ECI oversaw this body mapping session.

Several body maps reference frustration among men at not being able to marry. For male former underage combatants who returned home, finding a spouse and navigating the sexual marketplace became a new challenge. The Walikale body map notes state: “He still wants to receive good haircuts so that he can remain an attractive young man.”
